Wayne Henry
Wayne Henry was drafted into the Army in October 1967 and served for the next nineteen months.
Henry was deployed to Vietnam with the 70th Engineering Battalion. During fighting in Lac Thien, South Vietnam Henry was wounded by a mortar round.
Along with his Purple Heart, SGT Henry was awarded numerous medals and commendations during his service, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Vietnam Campaign medal with 2 o/s bars, and more.
Married and the proud father of three, Wayne continues to serve his fellow veterans an active member of the MOPH Department of Massachusetts and a the MOPH Chapter 875 in Springfield, holding leadership positions in both organizations. He also holds leadership positions in both the VFW Post 10334 and DAV Chapter 45 in Waltham.
