Gerald Rice

Born on June 18, 1948, Gerald Rice would go on to serve his country as a member of the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

Specialist Rice served as a gunman aboard helicopters where he took pride in his efforts to help save his fellow brothers lives.

He was later wounded when a grenade went off. This injury left him with pieces of shrapnel in his face, back, and other parts of his body.

Upon being honorably discharged, Gerald Rice returned to Ohio to join his wife in raising the couples two daughters.
