William Douglas Wyant

Specialist 4 William D. Wyant served with honor as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era. Hailing from Henry County, Illinois, Wyant was a member of the 4th Infantry Division, 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry, Headquarters Company.

According to records, Wyant was drafted into the Army and began his tour on August 27, 1967, serving as a Combat Medic

During his service in the Vietnam War, Army Specialist 4 Wyant lost his life on February 9, 1968, through hostile action, including multiple fragmentation wounds, during fighting near Cam Lou Nam Near Song Deim Binh River, South Vietnam, Quang Nam province.
