Rogue Valley Times: Medford Purple Heart recipient selected to be honored on New York trip

U.S. Navy Petty Officer Second Class Keith Wittnebel of Medford will represent Oregon and join 49 others from each state for a multi-day tribute event in New York honoring Purple Heart recipients, organized by the National Purple Heart Honor Mission.  Nominated by his peers, Wittnebel, 75, was selected to take part in an all-expenses-paid trip to New York from April 27-May 1 that will include visits to historic sights, a visit to the prestigious United States Military Academy (West Point), a private tour of the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor and more.
