KSWO ABC 7: Elgin Veteran selected for 2026 Purple Heart Patriot Program
A local Veteran has been selected as Oklahoma’s representative for the 2026 Purple Heart Patriot Project.
Later this year Sergeant First Class John Clipp of Elgin will join purple heart nominees from around the United States on a multi-day mission to many historic military sites.
Clipp joined the military fresh out of high school in 1989. He served for 20 years as a member of the 101st Airborne. He comes from a long history of military service in his family.
