KTIV 4: Retired Sioux City veteran to be honored at national Purple Heart event

A local Sioux City veteran and two-time Purple Heart Recipient was chosen to be one of many United States Purple Heart Patriot Project honorees.

Retired U.S. Army Col. John Mansfield was chosen to represent Iowa at the Purple Heart Patriot Project, a multi-day event honoring both “courage and sacrifice of America’s combat wounded.”
